We are establishing a Model Organic Farm at Viramgam, Ahmedabad. This 100-acres farm is situated just 50 Kms away from Ahmedabad. This farm would be one of the very few Biodynamic model farms in the country and this has witnessed training thousands of farmers across the country and also educated several people across the globe.

Farmers in India are largely dependent on agriculture and dairy. While Hare Krishna Movement Ahmedabad is attempting to address the agriculture sector by teaching the best practices of organic and natural farming, now, would like to help the rural India to explore the potential of indigenous cattle.
Being highly disease resistant, low in maintenance and agriculture friendly, indigenous breeds of cattle become an integral part of farmers’ life. Of late, due to competition thrown by automated dairy industries and due to uncontrolled adulterated milk and its products coming to market, simple farmers of India are unable to cope-up.
Hence Hare Krishna Movement has envisioned the project to preserve, protect and educate farmers about different varieties of Indigenous cattle by establishing a Goshala (Cattle Farm) and inspire urban new generation to have better connect with nature and its creation. This project is aimed at showcasing self-sustainability of cattle farms and not aiming at producing milk. That proves the significant role of cattle in chemical-free farming and its sustainability.
Our Mission
As a holistic farm management approach, organic farming aims to create a socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable food production system. More precisely, organic farming is based on managing the agro-ecosystem rather than relying on external farming inputs, such as pesticides, artificial fertilizers, additives, and genetically modified organisms.
The organization has envisioned a large multi-dimensional project at Viramgam, Ahmedabad district. This ambitious project is a conglomerate of various aspects of the societal needs such as a free school with residential facility, a kitchen to cook mid-day meals for 5,000 children on a daily basis, being developed to aid the cultural and spiritual elevation of the society at large, A state of the Art Goshala & a centre to train & develop farmers in taking up Organic Farm practices. One of the key highlights of this project is a GOSHALA, which will house 100 cows permanently in Phase 1 along with Organic Farming spread over area of 150 Acres.
